Neil Rackham is a British psychologist, author, and consultant, best known for his pioneering research in sales and marketing. Rackham earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Sheffield in 1966 and continued as a postgraduate research fellow, focusing on interpersonal skills in negotiation and selling. In the 1970s, he led one of the largest research studies on sales effectiveness, leading to the SPIN Selling methodology that revolutionized consultative selling practices.
