Bill Burnett

Bill Burnett is an Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Executive Director of the Design Program at Stanford. He co-founded the Stanford Life Design Lab, housed within Stanford’s d.school (the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design), and co-taught “Designing Your Life,” which became one of the most popular electives at Stanford.

Burnett’s design career started in Hasbro and he later spent seven years at Apple, where he led work on the PowerBook line.
